Facts About The German Hunt Terriers

Little only know about this terrier dog breed but for the benefit of all here are some facts about the German hunt terriers. In this article I will talk on the physical attributes and also their temperament. So here are some facts about this dog.

First off, let’s talk about the dog’s physical attributes. A German hunt terrier may be square in build but not necessarily broad. It can be as tall as one foot or a little bit higher than that sometimes. In order for them to avoid either legginess or stubby-like (or both) their legs are always proportionate to their respective bodies. When it comes to their tails they are very much straight and high fair enough.

Now let us talk about their temperament. Based from their name, this terrier is very much affable and very brainy when it comes to hunting skills. It is a medium sized dog that has a full bottle of energy each time. Back in the day like most terrier dog breeds they are trained to become hunters and sporting dogs. If there are only three things that are needed in order to describe this dog it would be alert, athletic, and active. That is why when you are owning one or planning to own one you must provide thorough exercise routine so that he can channel out his energy somewhere. And yes, they also need to have something to do in order for them to not become a bored terrier. Training as well must be provide as it can become willful and it would be hard for you to manage this kind of terrier without having any training.
